In-match directional code guide
How to find and use Fortnite Sprite Cheat Codes
Learn the verified panel-to-extraction flow, why there is no universal arrow code, and how in-match Cheat Codes differ from lobby Admin Panel codes.
Independent fan-made Fortnite tracking tool. Identity and affiliation disclosure.
In Battle Royale, find a glowing Cheat Code panel at a point of interest, interact with it, and enter the directional arrows shown on that panel in the same order. A correct sequence frees a Sprite ally. Pick it up, then extract it if you want permanent collection credit. There is no single universal arrow sequence.

- 01
Find a panel
Search surfaces around named points of interest. Epic describes Cheat Codes as hidden around the Island, tucked into POIs, and sprayed on walls.
- 02
Read its sequence
Interact with the panel and note the displayed directions. The sequence belongs to that panel, so an arrow string copied from another match is not a reliable shortcut.
- 03
Enter the arrows
Use the directional controls shown for your platform and reproduce the sequence in order. v42.10 adjusted some sequences to make them feel more natural to input.
- 04
Collect and extract
Pick up the released ally. If it is a form you want to keep, prioritize a successful extraction and verify the result in Fortnite's collection screen.
Cheat Codes and Lobby Hacks are different systems
| Feature | Sprite Cheat Code | Lobby Hack |
|---|---|---|
| Where it is used | During a Battle Royale match | In the Battle Royale lobby |
| Input type | Directional arrows displayed by an in-match panel | A text code entered in the Admin Panel |
| How it is found | Explore the Island or use a Cheat Code Locator | Find a published or promoted lobby code |
| Verified purpose | Free a Sprite ally | May grant XP, Sprite Dust, rare variants, or other lobby effects |
How to find panels more efficiently
Epic lists the Cheat Code Locator as a current Season 4 Gizmo that locates the nearest panel. Without one, search several plausible surfaces in a POI instead of waiting at one spot: a possible location does not guarantee that a panel will populate in every match. This guide deliberately avoids a brittle spawn-count claim or a map route that could change after a hotfix.
If a panel looks broken
Approach the panel, face its interaction point, and confirm you are using the displayed directions in order. Epic's v42.10 notes fixed panels that were invisible, difficult to interact with, or rejected inputs, so a genuinely inaccessible panel may be a game-state issue rather than a secret alternate code.
Keep the reward, not just the match power
Freeing an ally and permanently recording a collection entry are separate outcomes. Finish the current in-game extraction flow, confirm the matching form in your collection, and only then mirror it in this local checklist. The tracker never reads or changes an Epic account.
Frequently asked questions
Is there one Fortnite Sprite Cheat Code that works on every panel?
No. Interact with the panel and enter the directional sequence displayed there; do not reuse a supposed universal arrow combination.
Are Sprite Cheat Codes the same as Lobby Hack codes?
No. Cheat Codes are directional panels found during a Battle Royale match. Lobby Hacks are text codes entered in the lobby Admin Panel.
Does solving a Cheat Code permanently add the Sprite?
It frees a Sprite ally for the match. Complete the in-game extraction flow and confirm collection credit if you want to keep it.
Why will a Cheat Code panel not accept my input?
Stand close enough to interact, read the arrows in order, use the directional controls shown for your platform, and try another angle if the panel is difficult to target.
